Meet Lexington Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Nimtz
Dr. Jared Nimtz specializes in all types of cosmetic plastic surgery as well as reconstructive plastic surgery. Dr. Nimtz is credentialed at all Lexington hospitals, such as Kentucky One’s St. Joseph Hospital (main and East), University of Kentucky’s Good Samaritan Hospital and Central Baptist Hospital as well as the Lexington Surgery Center and Kentucky Surgery Center.
Dr. Nimtz completed his internship and residence in a selective 6-year integrated plastic surgery program at the University of Kentucky. He is a native of Delaware, and as an undergraduate attended Brigham Young University, where he graduated with university honors in microbiology. While he attended the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, he was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. He has called Kentucky his home for over eight years.
Dr. Nimtz has been in private practice in Lexington since 2013. He is highly trained in facial plastic surgery, such as eyelid surgery and facelifts, as well as body surgery, such as breast augmentation, liposuction and tummy tuck. Dr. Nimtz’s philosophy for plastic surgery is to achieve beauty by adhering to the aesthetics of proportion that exist in nature and appeal to our inherent sense of beauty. He enjoys shaping and sculpting both the face and body as well as helping patients achieve a more youthful appearance with laser skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat grafting along with using injectables such as Botox®, Dysport®, Juvederm®, Restylane® and Perlane®.

Dr. Nimtz is author of BeautyArtandMedicine.com where he blogs about the crossroads of art and surgery. Dr. Nimtz has been a guest speaker at Eastern Kentucky University, teaching students about the business of aesthetics. Furthermore, Dr. Nimtz has recently been abroad on a medical mission for Medical Mission Ecuador where he treated children with facial and limb abnormalities.
Dr. Nimtz and his wife spend their free time managing Commonwealth Plastic Surgery, six children, and a small farm. In their spare time, they enjoy the outdoors, and pursue interests in literature and languages.
